The toll system in France, known as "péage," is a network of toll roads that are primarily managed by private companies.
Tolls are usually calculated based on the distance travelled on the toll road. Entry and exit points are recorded, and the fee is determined accordingly. The toll fee also varies depending on the type of vehicle.
The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05% (50 mg per 100 ml of blood). For bus drivers and newly licensed drivers, the limit is 0.02% (20 mg per 100 ml of blood).
Safety Equipment
Drivers must carry a reflective vest and a warning triangle in the vehicle at all times.
Headlight
Use of headlights is mandatory in tunnels, and dipped headlights are required in poor visibility conditions.
