TRAFFIC RULES IN FRANCE

It would be a pity if your trip to France for the French MotoGP race would come with a fine. Check out our tips on how to enjoy the MotoGP race in Le Mans without extra costs.

SPEED LIMITS

Highways: 130 km/h (81 mph), reduced to 110 km/h in rainy conditions
Roads: 90 km/h
Cities: 50 km/h

VIGNETTE/TOLL

The toll system in France, known as "péage," is a network of toll roads that are primarily managed by private companies.

Tolls are usually calculated based on the distance travelled on the toll road. Entry and exit points are recorded, and the fee is determined accordingly. The toll fee also varies depending on the type of vehicle.

ALCOHOL BEHIND THE STEERING WHEEL

The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05% (50 mg per 100 ml of blood). For bus drivers and newly licensed drivers, the limit is 0.02% (20 mg per 100 ml of blood).
